Contractors want to build, not manage: Toelevering Online shows how that’s possible at BouwBeurs

In the construction industry, it’s all about craftsmanship. Yet for many construction company owners, a significant portion of the week is spent on administrative tasks. Window frames are often ordered with a drawing sent by email, a quote that takes days to arrive, and phone calls to find out where the delivery is. Toelevering Online from Nijverdal, part of the Nijhuis Bouw Group, will demonstrate at BouwBeurs 2027 how digitization can take over that administrative work.

On the online platform, contractors, self-employed professionals, and handyman companies can customize their own window frames, see the price immediately, and place an order. Behind the scenes, the order is automatically forwarded to the factory and the shipping department via the company’s own software, without the need for retyping or follow-up calls. To date, more than 100,000 orders have been processed through the platform.

CEO Daan Bol understands the skepticism. “Many professionals think window frames are too complex to order online. Especially for renovations, where there are no standard sizes. I get that. That’s why we check every order before it goes into production. And if anyone has questions, they can just call one of our specialists.”

According to Bol, the main benefit is time savings. Construction companies often manage multiple projects at once, while the owner handles purchasing, planning, and hands-on work himself. “Every hour someone spends on the phone with a supplier is an hour they’re not on the job site. That’s a shame, because that’s where their expertise lies.”

That administrative work doesn’t stop with the order. Anyone who orders something online knows exactly when the package will arrive. In the construction industry, a delivery date is often just an estimate. “You can’t schedule an installation crew based on that,” says Bol. Because production and transportation are digitally linked, window frames are delivered to the job site as early as three business days after the order is placed, at a time that fits the schedule. The contractor decides whether to have the window frames delivered to the construction site, pick them up at a pickup point, or have a crane brought in to assist.

Ronnie Obdeijn of Bouwbedrijf Obdeijn already works this way. “This flexibility is ideal for our work, because it allows us to tailor deliveries to the progress of the construction process.”

In Hall 9, Booth 09.A094 at BouwBeurs, visitors can design their own window frame and see how an order progresses from configuration to delivery at the construction site. “Above all, we want to start a conversation,” says Bol. “Even with professionals who are unsure. That’s exactly the kind of feedback we need.”
