Fiberplast Group introduces RIWOOD FR, a cladding that is circular and biobased and meets strict European fire safety standards. This material, composed of recycled and renewable resources, has END-USE fire class B-s3-d0 certification and is available in a variety of finishes and color options.

As of January 2025, 4 complete series of RIWOOD FR façade profiles comply with EN13501-1 certification, an important step in fire-safe construction. This makes it a suitable choice for projects where sustainability and safety come together.

Available profiles and application options

    t

  • The certified RIWOOD FR range includes various profiles to suit a variety of design requirements:
  • t

  • Hollow wall panels for open facades: available in several thicknesses and widths, suitable for both horizontal and vertical mounting. Assembly by gluing.
  • t

  • Solid facade profiles for open facades: in various sizes, to be installed with mounting clips, screws or gluing.
  • t

  • Rabat facade panels: a closed facade system, to be installed with screws.

Functional and aesthetic qualities

The cladding is available in a wide range of colors, 1 uncolored version, 4 mass-colored versions and in 24 inspiring surface colors. In addition, the material is low-maintenance and resistant to UV radiation, contributing to a long life.

A circular and reusable solution

RIWOOD FR is produced with a recycled plastic matrix and organic waste streams such as rice husk and calcite. This contributes to circular construction by:

    t

  • Environment: by using local raw materials, RIWOOD FR possesses a low carbon footprint
  • t

  • Recycling: Custom manufactured to minimize construction waste. Residual materials are collected and reused.
  • t

  • Long service life: An expected service life of 80 years. Easy to recycle into new profiles after use.
  • t

  • Remountable: Can be easily reassembled during renovation or demolition without the need for recycling.

Relevance to the construction industry

This development responds to the increasing demand for environmentally friendly and fire-safe building materials. RIWOOD FR possesses a low Total Cost of Ownership and can therefore be a valuable choice for property developers, architects and housing associations striving for future-proof and sustainable building solutions.
