Jeroen van Hooff, CEO Royal Jaarbeurs: "The construction world is in full swing, especially in the area of sustainability. Sustainability is seen as one of the most important challenges in the market. The Transition Dinner aims to exchange views with each other at the highest level, build constructive and sustainable collaborations for the future together and above all to accelerate sustainable growth together." The Transition Dinner will take place on February 6, 2023 during the BouwBeurs chaired by BNR presenter Rens de Jong.
Driving and accelerating sustainability
Jaarbeurs is committed to sustainability. It is one of the company's strategic pillars. Marloes van den Berg, Chief Sustainability Officer Jaarbeurs: "For Jaarbeurs, the Transition Dinner is fully in line with our ambition to be the most sustainable organizer and facilitator of exhibitions, events and conferences in Europe. In doing so, we want to demonstrably drive and accelerate sustainability within all the industries in which we are active. We do this at the Bouwbeurs itself, but certainly also at the very highest level. We are organizing this dinner to connect CEOs and decision makers in the construction industry to drive and accelerate sustainability."
Partners
The Transition Dinner is organized in cooperation with the Dutch Green Building Council (DGBC) Foundation and Change Inc. DGBC is the national social organization dedicated to rapidly making the built environment future-proof. Change Inc. is the platform of future makers, a modern media house that inspires and mobilizes. Chairman of the dinner is Rens de Jong, presenter at BNR and specialized in entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainability.
"We are entering a period of great change in the construction and real estate sector," states Annemarie van Doorn, director of DGBC. "The consequences of everything that has to change are only just beginning to sink in in the minds of those involved. And then it has to happen very quickly because climate change is happening faster than thought. Besides cooperation, leadership is needed and we must act now to turn the tide."
Yoeri van Alteren, founder and director Change Inc: "Sustainability is no longer a department but the business model of the future. The transition to a sustainable economy gains speed when the fear of change is removed. This is only possible by not only giving experience experts, scalable solutions and companies of tomorrow a big stage, but also connecting them. This Transition Dinner for the Construction Industry provides just that."
"I am enormously proud to be able to help build a green future for the construction industry together with these partners from Jaarbeurs," said Jeroen van Hooff.[/column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][google_ad][/vc_column][/vc_row]
