Award ceremony: Feb. 3, 2025
What are the innovations and novelties in the construction industry?
The BouwBeurs Awards show you what every construction specialist cannot ignore in the coming year. The election was created by the organisers of BouwBeurs to draw more attention to the innovations in the industry during trade fair.
For the BouwBeurs Awards, there are three categories: Environmental Impact, Smart & Efficient and Tools & Craftsmen. There are three nominees per category and soon there will be one winner per category. However, visitors to BouwBeurs 2025 can choose from all the nominated products and determine the winner of the Audience Award.
Those winners have now been announced. The awards ceremony will take place on Feb. 3, 2025, prior to the official opening of BouwBeurs 2025.
Ibis for Environmental Impact from Brink Software
Ibis for Environmental Impact from Brink Software is a software tool with intuitive controls that seamlessly integrates environmental impact calculations with project budgets. Designed for construction professionals, the software provides real-time insight into carbon emissions, environmental cost indicators (EQI) and the financial impact of design decisions. The tool uses up-to-date data from the National Environmental Database and automates complex MPG calculations by automatically linking environmental maps to budget rows. Functionalities such as variant comparison and scenario analysis support informed choices.
'Insulating in one day' from Prefab Insulation Netherlands
Prefab Insulation Netherlands offers an efficient method for interior insulation with minimal inconvenience to residents with 'Insulation in one day'. The process starts with a 3D scan of the house, followed by digital elaboration and production. The insulation is then installed in one day. Materials and finishes, such as biobased insulation, are customizable to specific needs. This approach significantly reduces assembly time, residual waste and work traffic, while allowing residents to remain in their homes. A great solution for inhabited renovations, mutation houses and complexes.
TP60 Pull Test Kit from FIRST BASE Ground Screws
The TP60 Pull Test Kit from FIRST BASE Ground Screws is an innovative tool for on-site load capacity measurements. The compact system, developed in collaboration with Staht-Pull Testers UK, has a pull capacity of 60 kN and can perform a full load capacity measurement in just 10 minutes. Weighing only 20 kg, the TP60 is easy to transport and operate. Results are digitally recorded and shared via the FIRST BASE app.
Duco Natural Cooling by Duco Ventilation & Sun Control
Duco Natural Cooling offers an energy-efficient solution against overheating by combining demand-controlled shading with cooling through ventilation. This replaces energy-intensive air conditioning. The integrated Duco IntelliHub automatically controls the components based on weather data, such as temperature and wind speed, measured by the Duco Weather Station. Simulations show up to 80% energy savings in homes with underfloor cooling, and in apartments connected to heat networks an annual CO₂ reduction of 325 kg per home.
The jury of the BouwBeurs Awards 2025 met to agree on the competitions' rules and define categories. This happened earlier this year in Jaarbeurs complex, led by fair manager Joyce van de Hoef (left).
The jury has chosen 9 products and nominated 3 per category from more than 50 submissions. In the end, 1 winner per category will be chosen from these. In addition, there is an Audience Award.
The award ceremony will take place during the opening of BouwBeurs 2025 on Monday, Feb. 3, 2025.
