Awards ceremony on Feb. 3
On the construction site, professionals do their important work not only with their heart for construction, but also with physical and digital tools. After all, it is people who have to make it. That is why the BouwBeurs Awards, with the category 'Tools & Craftsmen', wants to reward products and services that make a difference for the craftsman by making the work in construction lighter, easier, safer or more attractive.
The jury received great submissions for this category, but also notes that more submissions of concrete products or services would be desirable. Therefore, the call for 2027 BouwBeurs participants to submit solutions that will have a direct positive impact on the way professionals practice their profession.
Nevertheless, the jury confidently and unanimously nominated three entries for this category: the Grabo High Flow vacuum tool, the TP60 Pulltest kit for on-site digital tensile testing and Tec7's SprayTec sprayable MS hybrid polymer adhesive. Each product offers specific benefits that make working on site more enjoyable.
The TP60 Pull Test Kit from FIRST BASE Ground Screws is an innovative tool for on-site load capacity measurements. The compact system, developed in collaboration with Staht-Pull Testers UK, has a pull capacity of 60 kN and can perform a full load capacity measurement in just 10 minutes. Weighing only 20 kg, the TP60 is easy to transport and operate. Results are digitally recorded and shared via the FIRST BASE app.
Jury verdict:
The TP60 Pull Test Kit from FIRST BASE Ground Screws allows contractors to digitally test screw foundations for both horizontal and vertical loads within ten minutes. This innovation allows pull tests to be performed faster, cheaper and with less manpower. In addition to the efficiency gain for the individual contractor, this innovation makes screw foundations - as a more environmentally friendly alternative to concrete foundations - more attractive. All this makes the jury nominate the kit for the "Tools & Professionals" category.
The Grabo High Flow is a vacuum lifter designed for heavy and porous materials such as concrete and outdoor paving. With an air flow of 1500 liters per minute and a maximum lifting capacity of 82 kg when using a 400×400 mm suction blade, this is a powerful successor to its predecessor Grabo. The vacuum lifter features an ergonomic pistol grip design, smart foam seal and features a digital LED display that shows PSI and BAR pressure readings in real time.
Jury verdict:
Whereas the original Grabo has a vacuum flow rate of 20 liters per minute, the Grabo High Flow has a rate as high as 1,500 liters per minute. That's a significant increase that enables the lifting of porous materials. Along with the innovative foam seal and improved ergonomic pistol grip design, the vacuum lifter is a product truly developed with the craftsman in mind. That is why the judges nominated the Grabo High Flow for the Tools & Craftsmen category.
SprayTec from Tec7 is the first sprayable adhesive based on MS hybrid polymers, designed for full-surface bonding of large surfaces. The product combines high temperature resistance (up to 150°C) with repositionability and single-sided application. Wet surfaces can also be bonded. SprayTec is solvent-free and free of phthalates and isocyanates, reducing VOC emissions and protecting the health of users. Applications range from roofing and flooring to acoustic panels and insulation.
Jury verdict:
Tec7's ST7-10 SprayTec is the first sprayable MS hybrid polymer adhesive. This new generation (spray) adhesive offers the craftsman several efficiency advantages mentioned above. Compared to conventional sprayable PU adhesives, this spray adhesive eliminates important health risks and reduces the CO2 impact by 50 to 60%. This makes the ST7-101 SprayTec deserving of a nomination in the Tools & Craftsmen category.
